Essentials of Dialogue Workshops

The Essentials of Dialogue Project was a venture executed by the Tabah Foundation with logistical support provided by the Hayat Centre to offer training seminars for Arab youth and provide them with the proper tools to enrich dialogue with people from the wider world.

Many cross-cultural programs involving European and Middle Eastern youth take place through which it was noticed that the Middle Eastern youth were not as well equipped with the necessary tools to carry out such exchanges in a manner that effectively transmitted their Islamic culture and principles.

Objectives

  • To prepare young individuals from the Middle East for dialogue with the wider world
  • Identify key information about different faith groups and civilisations in order to deepen an understanding of each other
  • Correct misinformation about Muslims and Arabs

Accomplishments

  • Two day workshop in Amman, Jordan, with key individuals involved in the realm of cross-cultural dialogue. Attended by prominent individuals, including the Jordanian minister for Youth.
